Face Data (Sensitive Information)

Revive AI allows you to upload photos that may contain a person's face. In this policy, we treat any face visible in an uploaded photo or generated video as sensitive face data.

Information We Collect

  • Uploaded photos (which may include face data).
  • Generated animation videos.
  • Purchase and credit metadata needed for in-app purchases.

Planned Uses of Face Data

We use uploaded photos, including any face data they contain, to generate the animation you request and return the result to your app session. To do this, an AI model first looks at the photo (for example, how the person is framed and what they are doing), suggests actions that suit it and writes instructions for how it should move, and a second AI model generates the video from the photo and those instructions.

We also keep the photo and the finished video for 7 days so that members of our team can check the quality of the results and improve the app, for example by seeing which actions work well for which kinds of photos. Our copies are then deleted automatically. Copies held by fal.ai, which generates the videos, are kept longer; see Data Retention below.

We do not use face data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

Your Permission

Before your first photo leaves your device, the app tells you which AI services will receive it and how long your photo and video are kept, and asks for your permission. If you don't agree, no photo is sent. We ask again if the list of services or how long we keep your data changes.

No Face Recognition or Biometric Identification

Revive AI does not perform face recognition, identity verification, or biometric template extraction. We do not create or store face embeddings, face geometry maps, or similar biometric identifiers. The written description of the photo is used only as instructions for the video and is never used to identify anyone.

Sharing and Third-Party Processing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors required to operate the app:

  • OpenAI: receives the uploaded photo and the action you chose, if any, suggests suitable actions and writes the instructions for the animation. OpenAI does not use this data to train its models.
  • fal.ai: receives the uploaded photo and those instructions to generate the animation and its preview, and keeps the requests and the generated images and videos (see Data Retention).
  • Supabase: hosts the edge functions used to relay generation requests, stores short-lived job records (status, an anonymous app identifier and a link to the generated video), and stores the photo, the finished video, the chosen action and the animation instructions for 7 days in a private storage bucket that only our team can access.
  • RevenueCat: processes purchases and credit balance metadata; no face data is sent to RevenueCat.

Storage Location

Uploaded photos are sent from your device to our backend endpoint and then to OpenAI and fal.ai over HTTPS for generation. The photo and the finished video are kept for 7 days in a private Supabase storage bucket in the EU (Ireland), encrypted at rest, and then deleted. fal.ai keeps its copies on its own infrastructure as described under Data Retention.

Data Retention

  • Our systems: the photo, the finished video, the chosen action and the animation instructions are kept for up to 7 days for quality review and then deleted automatically. The job record is deleted at the same time. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, email us.
  • OpenAI processing: requests are sent with response storage turned off. OpenAI may keep request data for up to 30 days to detect abuse, after which it is deleted.
  • fal.ai processing: we don't delete anything we send to or receive from fal.ai. The request (including the photo and the animation instructions) stays in fal.ai's request history for as long as fal.ai keeps it (currently 30 days), and the generated images, preview and finished video are stored by fal.ai with no set deletion date. If you'd like yours deleted, email us.
  • Your device: the app keeps your animations and a copy of each source photo in its "My Creations" history on your device until you delete them there or remove the app. Videos you save to your photo library remain there until you delete them.
